CALL FOR ARTISTS: NATional FINE ART EXHIBITIONprospectusFantasy & Fiction is a fine art exhibition that revels in imagination, storytelling and the fantastical.
Artists are encouraged to share work that focuses on myth, lore, legend, tall-tales, storytelling and imagination. Open to artists in the US. All mediums are welcomed for submission. The exhibit will be in the Old Courthouse Arts Center, a 5,000 sq ft gallery located on Woodstock's historic square, NW of Chicago. You may recognize the square from the film Groundhog Day. 2021 marks the Old Courthouse Art Center's 31th anniversary. ADDITIONAL EVENTS In addition to opening night, we will have 2 additional events that will weave imagery from the artwork in the gallery into the storyline, called A Night in Silvermoon. These events will be held Saturday evenings, Sept 11 & 18. A Night in Silvermoon is an original Dungeons & Dragon adventure, which will include "characters" from the artwork included in the exhibition. There is a limited amount of space available for artists who wish to sell prints of their work in addition to their original pieces. These events are for adults, who will sit at tables of 6 each as adventurers. Each table will have a leader, who will take their adventuring party on a campaign, or adventure. These evenings are designed to be an entertaining way to connect visitors to the artwork in a unique way. If you would like attend one or both nights, sign up is here.
