CALL FOR ARTISTS: SOlo Show Competition

About the opportunity


This competition is a chance for 2 artists to each show a body of work in their own space in the OCHAC galleries in September 2021. 

Open to all artists in the US
​All mediums are welcomed for submission. 

2 selected artists will be provided with a solo space to design their own exhibition to showcase a body of work. Both 2D and 3D works can be accommodated. 

The 2 selected artists will each receive:
  • A solo room in the gallery for a month
  • The option to have a private reception (in addition to the main reception for all the galleries.)
  • A video created about their solo exhibition & artwork.

The exhibit will be in the Old Courthouse Arts Center, a 5,000 sq ft gallery located on Woodstock's historic square, NW of Chicago. You may recognize the square from the film Groundhog Day. 2021 marks the Old Courthouse Art Center's 31th anniversary.

J + K Isacson are curators for this exhibition, working in partnership with the Old Court House Arts Center and the Northwest Area Arts Council.

Submission guidelines

Eligibility

This show is open to all artists in the US. Submission fee is $48. Submission deadline is August 8. The jury fee covers up to 10 images of work and installation views/plans.

All mediums are accepted. All styles of artwork are also accepted for consideration. 

Winning Artists are asked to bring and pick up their artwork for their exhibitions.

This is a two part process: Submit the jury fee & fill out the form below.

Both the submission form  and fees should be submitted by August 8, 2021 to be considered. 
Submissions that do not follow basic guidelines will be considered incomplete.  
Submissions without a jury fee will be also considered incomplete. Incomplete submissions cannot be juried.
