"Together"  AOTA  Store Invitational

We are inviting "Affair of the Arts" (AOTA) artists to participate in a wearables store open May 2021.

Things to know about this show:

• Your work will be in the gift store section of the Old Courthouse Arts Gallery May 2021
• This is an invitational. There is no submission or booth fee.
• Commission for sold work is 30%
• The store will be staffed at all times, but cases are encouraged for small items.
• All items must be tagged with the artist/studio name. An inventory form will be provided.

​The store will be up at the same time as the TOGETHER national exhibition, which will be in the south galleries that month. You are encouraged to join us for an opening night celebration on May 8.

The store & exhibit will be in the Old Courthouse Arts Center, a 5,000 sq ft gallery located on Woodstock's historic square, NW of Chicago. You may recognize the square from the film Groundhog Day. 2021 marks the Old Courthouse Art Center's 31th anniversary.​

ELIGIBILITY

Open to artists by invitation.
This is a selling opportunity for artistic wearable items.

All items for sale must be original, and entirely conceived and created by the artist. 

Interested artists should return the submission form below by 3/21. 

Please plan to check for confirmation of participation, which will be sent by 3/28. Our goal is to include everyone who is interested, but know there is a limited amount of store space. If necessary, submissions will be taken according to display size accommodation needs, balance of mediums and date submitted.

DELIVERY OF WORK:

Drop off days for work are May 1 & 2, unless other arrangements are made ahead of time.

Pick up day is May 30.

ART SALES 

The Old Court House Arts Center will handle sales. Commission is 30%. 

Artists are asked to price accordingly and bring their items with price tags.
All items must have the artist/studio name on them to ensure payment from sales.

LIABILITY


Joe and Kathleen Isacson, the Northwest Area Arts Council and The Old Courthouse Arts Center are not liable for any loss, theft, damage or deterioration of artist wearables for sale before, during, or after the show.


    - Participating artists assume responsibility for their property and their personal safety.

    - Insurance coverage for Artists’ property is the responsibility of the Artist.

    - Artists are responsible for adhering to copyright laws that may pertain to their work. 


MEDIA RELEASE


J and K Isacson and the The Old Courthouse Arts Center may use Artist’s Name, biographical information as submitted by the artist, and images of their artwork for the sole purpose of promoting the exhibition.

This information will be used for online and print publications, social and broadcast media, and marketing materials including postcards and flyers. Artists release Kathleen Isacson & the Old Court House Arts Center from any liability resulting from the use of this information.  Photos of the opening reception, exhibit (possibly including artist & artwork) may be used to promote current and future shows.
